Testimonials

We have been involved with Scott for the past eight years. Our first horse was a two year old called Flushed and although a real trier, unfortunately he didn't progress and became a private riding horse.

However, we enjoyed the initial experiences and we were lucky enough to form a small group to buy Sir Geoffrey as a yearling. This was to become our first taste of success. Sir Geoffrey won several races as a two year old, then took us on an exhilarating journey of great wins at Ripon and notably Royal Windsor on an evening when his win meant two lucky punters jointly won the Tote Jackpot of £2M!! Sir Geoffrey continues today to still deliver and has given us all so much pleasure.

We also have been lucky to jointly own Sacrosanctus and Dr Red Eye. Again, we have enjoyed so many wonderful and unique experiences with both. Sacrosanctus won at Newmarket on the July Course in 2011 and I still have the memory of the Paul Dixon "bear hug" as he went three lengths clear! Then, Dr Red Eye thrilled us at the Chester Festival in May 2013 by making all to win, then repeating the feat two weeks later.

We now are also involved with Pennine Warrior through the Yorkshire Exiles.

We are very privileged indeed to have experienced over 24 wins, all special in their own way. We've also had some extremely exciting close shaves, such as a tight second at Epsom on a Derby Day with Sacrosanctus.

It's a real thrill to be involved with a Scott and his excellent team. The whole experience brings many aspects - new friends, great memories, exciting experiences and the positive buzz of "you never know"!!!!

“I would like to say a big thank you to all at Haygarth House, to Scott, Yvette, Paul and all the staff. Scott is a very capable trainer and a very amicable young man, friendly and polite and totally dedicated to his job. Yvette and Paul really love to get you involved and we have had plenty of laughs and great times along the way. Racing with the Dixons is a truly social occasion.

Whenever I visit Haygarth House, which is quite often, I have always received a very friendly and polite welcome from everyone. The stable lads and lasses are fantastic and really dedicated to their work. It is always exciting visiting the horses who always look well, relaxed and in good condition. I'm even starting to recognize them all by name now!

I have been fortunate in joining the Doncaster Racing Club, with our hero Thunderball who won at Doncaster on the first day of the flat last season and took us to Epsom on Derby Day. This season the Racing Club's horse is Askaud who has run at Doncaster on Lincoln Day, and last week at Thirsk with a very creditable second place already. The Club is really taking off this year and we have plenty of likeminded horse-racing enthusiasts, so there is always plenty of good company on race days.

I also have an interest in Pearl Noir, a four year old, who won at Southwell last season and has been second on seven occasions. I picked him myself as a wedding gift. He was bred by Yvette out of Milk It Mick and Cora Pearl. He's a little trooper, not the easiest horse, but has plenty of spirit and is unlucky not to have picked up more wins. Just the excitement of the race day, and him coming home safe makes me extremely happy. He has taken me to Royal Ascot, which was a wonderful experience, and we came second to Frankie Dettori at Leicester on his second run!!! So I got to meet Frankie too.

This year I am also with a syndicate of 4 horses put up by the yard, so you stand an even better chance of getting to the races!! At least once a week as they are entered very regularly.

I am always kept informed of how well my horses are, and am free to go to the yard whenever I want. Scott has Open Days at the yard on a regular basis, and we often have 'get togethers' for everyone at the races, even if your own horse is not running that particular day, you are always welcome to come and support.

Having memories and wonderful racing experiences are what enthusiastic owners dream about and I have been very fortunate in meeting the Dixon's and for them to allow me to be part of it all. I must give a special mention to Rebecca Johnson as well, Scott's lovely, glamorous girlfriend, she is always on hand for fashion tips, and regularly updates the websites with her racing experiences!

When you go racing with Scott and the team, you are always in the Winners Enclosure!!!!"

Ontoawinner has been in partnership with Scott Dixon Racing for two seasons now. In that time, we've been lucky enough to have four winners with Scott, but we got into the winners enclosure many more times filling the minor places.

Scott knows how to place a horse, and is meticulous in his training plans and raceday preparation. He is logical, thoughtful and considerate with Owners. His company, and that of his supportive team and family on raceday, is top class. Raceday badges and needs are never an issue, and the champagne and craic flows freely. Scott goes the extra mile for Owners. There are trainers I've met that could learn a thing or two from Scott and the Haygarth House team. I have no doubt with a bit of luck, and we all need that, Scott has the breeding and hunger to go to the top of his game. Scott can train winners and place horses, make no mistake about that. I've had 98 winners over the past 17 years, I've been around the block, and know the racing game. I have alot of time for Scott Dixon and he makes alot of sense when he talks. His placing of Piceno to win at Newmarket & Chester in 2013, and more recently at Catterick in 2014, were well thought through and executed plans.

We feel we must say a little about Scott Dixon Racing having had a bad experience with a racing syndicate a few years ago we was reluctant to join another one but we was told about Scott Dixon Racing by a member,WOW what a difference, you are treated just like one of the family by Scott, Becky, Yvette, Paul and all the staff, it didn't take long for us to feel like one of the gang. We have had some wonderful day's racing and friendly informative days at the stables we cannot praise them highly enough and we would definitely recommend Scott Dixon Racing to anyone who would like to get into racing and we cannot thank the Dixon family enough.
